Siddharth Poddar

Siddharth specialises in research and insights on geoeconomics and geopolitics, trade and supply chains, industrial policy, finance and public policy. A strategist, writer and editor, Siddharth began his career as a financial journalist covering the private investment landscape in Asia, managing a publication as the editor across print and digital. He has covered Asia for 18 years now, and understands the region, trends shaping it and their implications on business. At StoneBench, Siddharth leads client engagement, and helps organisations navigate the intersection of geoeconomics, finance, trade and technology—through clear analysis and writing.

Siddharth has an MSc in Globalisation and Development from the School of Oriental and African Studies (University of London), and bachelor degrees in Economics and Political Science from Singapore Management University.

Shivaji Bagchi

Shivaji co-founded StoneBench in 2012 after five years in public/ investor relations in India. He has over a decade of experience in working with clients on editorial strategy, content curation and development, copywriting and copyediting, and public/ investor relations.

A few of his areas of specialisation include consumer industries, technology and the digital economy, fintech, demographics and the macroeconomy. At StoneBench, Shivaji leads editorial strategy and works closely with clients on projects.

Andrew joined StoneBench in 2017. He heads StoneBench’s secondary research initiatives and assists our editorial team with various research requests. Prior to joining StoneBench, Andrew worked in the information technology sector, managing different geographic area accounts for a global IT company; and helped in the business development of emerging technologies.

She is the founder of Asia Decoded, a macro consultancy that advises policy makers, companies and institutional investors.

With over two decades of experience in macroeconomic research across Asia, she is a columnist for the Nikkei Asia Review (NAR) and makes regular appearances on media outlets such as Bloomberg, CNBC, BBC, CNA. She was earlier the Chief India and Southeast Asia Economist for Oxford Economics.

Pushpanathan Sundram

Pushpanathan is a leading expert in public policy, ASEAN affairs, and emerging non-traditional security issues, with almost four decades of experience across the public, international and private sectors. He advises StoneBench on projects related to Asia's political, economic and regulatory landscapes.

Formerly the Deputy Secretary General (Deputy Minister) for the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC), he was pivotal in developing the first AEC Blueprint and the first Master Plan for ASEAN Connectivity, key frameworks for economic integration in Southeast Asia.

Nathan is the CEO of PublicPolicyAsia Advisors, a premier business advisory and government affairs consulting firm headquartered in Singapore. He is a visiting fellow at the School of Public Policy at Chiang Mai University in Thailand, where he bridges academia with practice. His most recent book is called Transformative ASEAN: An Insider’s Reflections, published in December 2024. He holds a PhD in Public Policy.
